Complete our online application form, pay the registration fee, then send us your proof of payment together with 2 I.D photos and a copy of your I.D book or passport via WhatsApp or email. No former experience is needed. We are a basic-education & practical training centre with a no-failing course — we teach complete beginners from scratch using 100% practical and theoretical assessments on real machines.
Yes. We provide free accommodation in our hostels for distant students for the full duration of the training period, so you can focus 100% on learning your machine without worrying about where to stay.
Absolutely. Foreign students are welcome to apply from Zambia, Lesotho, Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Eswatini (and beyond). A valid passport is required for registration. We also assist with the practicalities once you're enrolled.
Our courses run from about one week up to two months, depending on the machine and programme. Most operator courses (forklift, TLB, excavator, dump truck, cranes, grader, bulldozer, etc.) are around 2 weeks, the Plant Operator programme is about 2 months, and longer trade courses such as boiler making / welding run for a few months. Yes on both. Spencer Forklift, TLB Training Academy is accredited by TETA and CETA and registered in terms of the Skills Development Act, 1998, so your certificate is recognised by employers. We also renew expired operator certificates & licences — message us and we'll sort it out.
Yes — we offer job assistance after training. While we can't guarantee placement, we actively help connect qualified graduates with employers and advise you on how to present your new skills and certificate to land work.
